What is Bakuchiol? Bakuchiol as a popular Anti-wrinkle Ingredient,it's monoterpenoid compound isolated from the seeds of the leguminous plant Psoralea corylifolia (babchi),it's a light yellow aromatic liquid. Bakuchiol has a structure similar to retinol and can activate retinoid receptors in cells, stimulating collagen production for anti-aging effect.Besides, bakuchiol , like retinol, promotes keratin metabolism, controls oil, and assists in Whitening effect. It also has the function of inhibiting the acne-causing bacterium Propionibacterium acnes, which retinol does not have.
